Storyline

Kratos is known as a Spartan warrior. He is also a warrior haunted by memories of his past. Kratos continues to relive the moment when he killed his own wife and child, masterminded by Ares, the God of War. After years of serving the Olympus Gods seeking forgiveness for his crimes, Kratos is given one final task from Athena: to kill Ares. This mission excites Kratos, as he wants to avenge Ares, the man who destroyed his life and is now attacking the city of Athens.

Kratos’s journey to kill Ares requires him to traverse a vast array of monsters, a desert of lost souls. The key to defeating Ares is Pandora’s Box, an ancient artifact with unimaginable power, designed to empower Kratos to kill the immortal Ares. Pandora’s Box is hidden within a giant temple strapped to the back of the cursed Titan Cronos. This will be Kratos’s mad quest to defeat Ares and exact his revenge.
